The “Best Song Of The Month Contest” honours and publicizes the top songs which are submitted each month to the SongwriterUniverse online magazine/website, which now attracts 75,000 visitors per month. SongwriterUniverse is headed by veteran music publisher/A&R exec Dale Kawashima, who previously was President of Michael Jackson’s ATV Music, and a creative exec at Sony, Motown and Mercury Records. Kawashima is currently Executive Director of HoriPro Entertainment Group, which is an internationally-known music publishing company (with offices in Los Angeles, Nashville and Tokyo), Japan-based record label and talent agency.
